Digitalization and Data Analysis Department
Mission
The Digitalization and Data Analysis Department (DTDA) is tasked with ensuring the most efficient digital transformation processes within the UVT academic community, in alignment with the institution’s digitalization policy and current legal regulations.
Objectives
- Developing and implementing the UVT digital transformation strategy, ensuring coherence among electronic resources, platforms, applications, and information technologies at the West University of Timișoara, to support performance and excellence in academic and research activities at the university;
- Optimizing and consistently updating workflows to ensure up-to-date and functional software tools for the academic community;
- Coordinating data collection and completing periodic central reports, such as data reported to ANS, PCUe, MEC, INS, and other authorities, with the support of relevant departments within UVT;
- Managing data and tasks related to personal data (GDPR), continuously analyzing and updating workflows to ensure compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation;
- Managing UVT’s information and electronic systems (UMS, SEAD, admissions platform, online accommodation platform, online schedules, SIMD, and other relevant projects at UVT);
- Developing and managing automation systems specific to the university’s activities in close collaboration with relevant departments;
- Managing systems and platforms accessible through web browser interfaces or dedicated applications at UVT;
- Providing support for the functionality of ICT technologies implemented at UVT, used by students, faculty, administrative staff, and UVT management;
- Periodic auditing of the performance levels of digital resources and platforms, and, based on identified issues, proposing measures to align these resources with the needs of faculty and students.
