First steps
To start your academic journey at the West University of Timișoara, it is essential to familiarize yourself with the digital resources offered. The first step is to activate the institutional email account, which will be the main channel of communication with the university. Then connect to the Eduroam WiFi network, essential for quick access to online information and resources. Don’t forget to explore educational platforms, such as Student Web, where you’ll find details about your academic status and tuition. Each UVT student has an ID card that they can generate online. You can also generate and sign tuition contracts online through the DESC platform. If you need help, the Digitization and Data Analysis Department is always at your disposal for technical support.
Mail E-UVT
West University of Timisoara provides all students with an institutional e-mail account. With the credentials of the institutional email account, thanks to the implemented SSO service, you can authenticate to all digital services made available to students.
The e-uvt email account is a Gmail account on the e-uvt domain, a domain assigned to the West University of Timisoara. You will benefit from the full list of Gmail functionalities from Google Workspace, storage space, you can use it from any device, mobile or desktop, it has offline function (you can read and write messages, they will be sent as soon as you have Internet connection again). It is compatible with Microsoft Outlook and any other email client, from any phone, tablet or operating system.

Connecting to Wi-Fi
Connection to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network is done with your email account credentials. EduRoam is a federation of authentication systems available worldwide.
All the institutions that are affiliated to this system allow the secure exchange of authentication information between them in order to connect users to the WiFi networks available in their respective institutions. West University of Timisoara is enrolled in this federation, and provides access to all federation facilities. In order to access EduRoam services, offered by the West University of Timisoara, all students, master students, doctoral students, teachers and administrative staff have their accounts created on the e-uvt.ro platform.

Student Legitimization
The card will act as an ID card, containing the name, faculty and the respective QR code generated that can be verified via any mobile device.

Digital signature of academic contracts
DESC is an application with which you will digitally sign your tuition contracts: study contracts, accommodation contracts, subject contracts, DPPD study contracts, etc.

StudentWeb
StudentWeb is the platform through which you will have access to all your schooling data. Through this platform you will have access to the personal data entered in the education management system, to the education plan, to the grades obtained from the examinations and to the financial situation.
You’ll also be able to pay tuition fees, accommodation fees and exam fees.
